Trip to Wiltshire Gallery
Some children from Wiltshire class had the fantastic opportunity to visit Stephen Wiltshire’s art gallery on Thursday. The chosen children were the ones who showed creativity, curiosity and perseverance during our class name project and the homework set about our class’ namesake, Stephen Wiltshire.
The gallery is located in Chelsea Harbour, which is very far from Hermitage, but we all enjoyed the scenic journey. At the gallery, we all were able to view Wiltshire’s artwork first hand. They were displayed beautifully and showed us how his ability is pure genius. Whilst perusing his detailed cityscapes, we were given a huge surprise – Stephen himself joined us! We were all shocked! After the shock wore off, we were able to ask him questions, admire his work with him and even took some photographs with him. As a parting gift, Stephen let us all have a signed postcard each! On top of that, the gallery then informed us that the rest of the class will be able to visit the gallery later on in the year too! What an amazing day!
