VE Day at Downing Street

On Monday, ten pupils joined Sophie, Wollette and Benjamin's mum, Anna, to visit 10 Downing Street itself! We were invited through the Together Coalition, who also organised our BBC Breakfast opportunity. The children wrote letters to the surviving veterans who served in World War Two, telling them about themselves and asking about the veterans' experiences. They had the chance to speak at length with Colin, one of the special veteran guests at the party, as well as taking part in games and activities and eating lots and lots of cake! Keir Starmer came to talk to the children and Wollette secured a personal audience by asking Keir to top up her tea! The day was topped off with a lovely goody bag containing a special edition mug and plate. We had a brilliant day - thank you to Brendan for organising it for us.
