Dear parents and carers,
I have been so impressed and proud of all the reception, year 1, year 6 and keyworkers children who have returned to school with confidence, enthusiasm and a real sense of their responsibilities in keeping themselves, their peers and their families safe. I would like to thank their families for trusting us to keep their children safe and learning again.
I’m now delighted to be able to invite all children in to school for the final two weeks of term for two transition sessions. This will be with their new teacher for the next academic year. Although we have been able to work with some of the children, we have missed so many of you! Whilst online learning has ensured some virtual contact, being back in school will support children through contact with their peer group, learning how to stay fit and healthy beyond their family bubble, and re-establish good learning routines.
Please look in your child’s online google classroom to find out which transition bubble your child is in, who their new teacher will be, which dates and times they need to come into school, and finally which gate they will need to line up at.
If you are finding it tricky to access the information, email firstname.lastname@example.org and some one will make contact to help you to find out when your child is expected in school.
I would like every child to attend their transition sessions.; it will make their return in September much calmer and happier.
I look forward to seeing all of you over the next two weeks.
With warmest regards,
